My grandmother.

Shirley Joldersma. Born April 2, 1930, passed away September 10, 2012 in her 83rd year.
I am her namesake.
She is the woman who toilet trained me in a weekend.
She tried to teach me how to crochet and knit.
She was full of gratitude and kindness.
She is a great model of faith in God's goodness, despite circumstances.
She was everything to my grandfather.
She was a godly woman.
She now is where she has longed to be.
I love you, grandma.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
His mercies never come to an end.
They are new every morning;
Great is your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22-23
