What You Made Link Up 39

Last week I was busy busy busy getting ready for the Made by Hand show. I really enjoyed the show! There was approximately 2000 people walk through the door, and there were some REALLY great vendors there; some of which I will be featuring on my blog soon; they are awesome!!!

I shared with you last week the iPhone cases that I was launching at the show. They will be in my Etsy shop soon - I just have to find another iPhone to photograph my cases with. lol

Anyhoo. Last week's most viewed link-up was a custom painted mirror from Mullane Ink:

Molly had the most viewed link last week too, which is a first for this link-up! Here are some of my favourites from Molly's shop:

Something surprising (and inverted!)

I came across this post by Ji Lee, and I just had to share it with you; it was too wonderful not to!

He installs pieces of art on the ceiling! I really love the second image, which is a timy little museum gallery. Ji Lee likes to imagine there is a parallel world which coexists with ours. While I don't believe that, I still enjoy his ceiling art installations.

Featured Artist :: Blue Room Pottery

I just LOVE handmade pottery, don't you? I wish I knew how to do this, and I know I could learn, through classes and whatnot. However, our budget (and my time) doesn't give me a chance to take a class. So I just spend (about half) of my time on Etsy drooling over pottery pieces like these from Blue Room Pottery:

The listings for these birds say they are thanksgiving birds, but I can easily see them being used for Christmas - just fill them with tinsel!

 I am totally drooling over these bowls. I love the colours and the roughness of the outside of the bowls... AMAZING!

And who doesn't love a good yarn bowl? My children would destroy this in seconds, so I'll probably have to wait until they are older before I venture into purchasing beautiful, but breakable yarn bowls...

Head on over to Blue Room Pottery for more beautiful pottery.

Product Launch :: iPhone Cases

I told you on Wednesday that today would be the launch of my new product line: iPhone cases! I'm selling these at the Made by Hand show in Mississauga today, and they will be in my shop soon!

 And here is a more masculine iPhone case - it is a nice chestnut brown, and the leather is sturdy.

I would get more pictures, but I'm writing this on Friday night (thank goodness for scheduling your posts, eh?), and I have to get ready for the craft sale! See ya!

The sleeper.

You would think a child would prefer to sleep in her bed, not fall asleep in the chair beside her bed. *sigh*

My Favourite Fall Fashion :: Boots

Before, boots have always seemed to be a winter foot covering, or rubber boots for rainy days, that's all. Boots were not that big a part of my wardrobe. But man, I wish now they would have a larger roll, because they're pretty awesome!

Cowboy boots are just so much fun, aren't they? And the picture just oozes "happy", doesn't it?

These boots look so comfy! I can't see them as being too practical, though. What happens if you accidentally step in a puddle? But I guess fashion isn't supposed to always be practical, should it?

Knee-high boots would be so much fun! I also love the colour of these boots.

And these boots just look so classic, it seems to be a must in every boot wardrobe.

October Sponsor Love

This month's sponsors are totally awesome! They are a group of such friendly, funny, caring women.

What is your favourite item on Etsy right now? That is SO difficult!! I love all of the antiques but I absolutely love artist Mark Hudak. His pottery is amazing so I had to pick this container that is just begging for my spoons to be inside!!

What is your 'cold weather' drink? I love hot tea when the weather turns cold! I’m a coffee fan too!

~~~~~
What is your favourite item on Etsy right now? Currently I am in love with this item from Three Trees Bindery. It is the neatest double sided journal, and so beautifully crafted.
What is your 'cold weather' drink? And as far as cold weather drinks go, well, I live where it never really gets very cold! But I do enjoy my hot tea. Current fav is called Organic Mint Melange.
~~~~~

What is your favourite item on Etsy right now? It is very difficult to pick one specific thing that I can say that I like more than anything else here on Etsy. There are so many, I can't really pick. But I find this funny and it takes your mind away from reality for a bit in a playful way. :)

What is your 'cold weather' drink? A hot cup of Earl Grey tea with a slice of lemon in it, is the perfect drink for me :)

~~~~~
What is your favourite item on Etsy right now? This cat cave.
What is your 'cold weather' drink? Trader Joe's Spiced cider!
~~~~~

What is your favourite item on Etsy right now? I love this little art print.

What is your 'cold weather' drink? My absolute favourite cold weather drink is hot chocolate, and I especially love when I can get my hands on some white hot chocolate. Delicious!

What You Made Link Up 38... and a sneak peek!

This past week I made a journal and instead of tearing the spine off, I kept the spine on and bound the book to the spine and covers differently. I really like the look of it! I know you don't get to see the cool coptic stitch, but this looks pretty awesome too!

And remember how a few weeks ago I showed you this little teaser?

Well, it is a close up of this picture.
That's right! You guys get a sneak peek of my new line - iPhone cases! I have some of these cases with flowers on them and some cases that are a bit more manly with the neutral colours and no embellishments. You'll see the launch of this line at the Made by Hand show in Mississauga on Saturday, and then in my Etsy shop shortly after!

Now, since that exciting news has been shared, I will tell you a bit about last week's most viewed link-up. It was these GORGEOUS votive candle holders from Mullane Ink.

Here are some of my favourites from Molly's shop:

Halloween :: Costumes for Adults

There's something about Halloween costumes that get me a little excited. I'm not talking about the "sexy" costumes that so many women/girls get for Halloween - I'm talking about a real Halloween costume, like the ones pictured below.

via

I would LOVE to do this for Halloween at my work. But I'm working at the reception desk right now, and for a client-based company, maybe this wouldn't be exactly the best - it would totally freak some of the older people out, wouldn't it?

This one reminds me of Dexter, but in a sweet, home-maker/psychopath sort of way.

This one is really sort of creepy.

And this one is just plain awesome. The shark ingesting its prey. boi-hahahaha! *evil laugh*

These would all be super awesome costumes for Halloween. But I have yet to decide what to be. I'll keep you posted.
