Happy Birthday, Alexander!

Three years ago today, my son was born. Here is the story of the labour and delivery of Alexander. When he was born, many people called him a 'little Jeff'. He was born 7 lbs, 6 oz and 20.5" long.

Alexander is a wonderful child. He was content and happy, only crying when he was hungry, which was every two hours on the dot, or startled. He was very good at playing by himself and keeping himself busy while mommy was working (from home). Alexander liked the quiet, and didn't like loud noises, like applause or a great group of laughter.

His first steps were on October 8, 2009, when he was 1 year and 4 months old. I don't remember exactly when his first word was, but it was 'thank you'.

Alexander is a big joy in our lives. He is such a good kid. He is growing up so quickly, and it's kinda hard thinking that he'll be going to preschool next September! He is a curious little guy, but he is content to play within the boundaries that Jeffery and I give him, only testing them when it's time for bed.

When Isabel came along, we were worried about jealousy issues, and Alexander not liking his little sister. But we didn't have to worry! The first time Alexander looked at Isabel, he gave her a kiss! Whenever Izzy cries, he says, "uh-oh, mommy!". He really loves her.

It is our prayer that Alexander will continue to grow healthy and strong. We continually pray that he will grow to love Jesus and be a shining light to everyone around him. We love you, Alexander!
