Hello, Sponsors!

Well now, friends! You've had a little taste of what this month's sponsors can do - what they make, and now it's time to get to know them all a little bit better.

A designer at heart, I strive to balance beauty and function in everything I make.  I have secret passion for organizing, and a desire to make things better.  I was also raised to appreciate hand made, and to believe that the quality and love of a hand made gift is worth more than any price tag.  Put all those qualities in a pot, stir in bit of a perfectionist obsession, and the end result is what you see in my shop.

Shirley: What is the one thing you cannot leave the house without?
Sparrow: I always carry dice in my purse.  Usually just a single d20, but sometimes a full set.  I'm not a gambler, but after getting into rpg's (role playing games; think Dungeons and Dragons...) I started hoarding dice.  And you'd be surprised how often they are actually useful.  Like when you're trying to decide which lunch combo you want from the Mexican restaurant menu.

My name is Wendy, and I am the designer/creator behind EmilyRoseBlossoms.
I'm a very curious type of person. If I were a dog, I would be the one with the porcupine needles sticking out of my nose, because I had to learn more about the porcupine!

I wrote a DIY for the Daily Dose blog, which you can see here.

Shirley: What is the one thing you cannot leave the house without?
Wendy: Lip Gloss & My Cell Phone!  If I have to pick just one - the cell phone!

As our world becomes increasingly technological and impersonal, people need spots of handmade comfort and beauty. The whole reason behind Chocolate Dog Studio is to provide art for everyday living. I love creating items that will soften some of the hard edges in life.

Shirley: What is the one thing you cannot leave the house without?
Karen: A bag of yarn and a crochet hook or knitting needles, seriously.

I love to make feminine and dainty gemstone designs for an affordable price. I only use high quality materials such as semi-precious gemstones, 14k gold filled or sterling silver wire, and fresh water cultured pearls.

We are two artists who just so happen to be married. After giving the business world a try, we decided to quit our jobs and start an art studio. These days, we earn our keep by creating entertaining pottery inspired by traditional 'ugly jars'.

Shirley: What is the one thing you cannot leave the house without?
Chad: My pants...or my chapstick.
Meghan: Definitely my phone

  3. Shirley,

Thank you for the time, creativity, and care you pour into our sponsor feature spots!

Prior to this feature I was only familiar with two of these artists, Julie Ellen Designs and The Chocolate Dog Studio.

Julie Ellen Designs rocks!!!(LOVE LOVE LOVE♥♥♥ HER STUFF). As a result of getting to know Julie, I joined her blog named The Daily Dose of Handmade. Karen, Chocolate Dog Studio, is sweet and has some great stuff!

I can't wait to get to know the other shops, they look really interesting!!!

Thanks again for all that you do!
