On Monday, my grandmother passed away. She had been in the hospital for quite a while, and we were expecting it. But even when you're expecting something, it still catches you unexpected, you know? The visitation is today, and the funeral is tomorrow. This is the first person in my immediate family who has died that I can remember. My great-grandmother passed when I was, like 4 or 5, so I don't remember feeling any grief - I barely knew her. So this is kind of difficult for me.
As you can imagine, I haven't done a whole lot this past week.
Last week's most viewed link was this lovely sparrow pendant from Luv Alisa:

So sorry to hear about your Grandma, Shirley. They are special people in our lives and it is tough to lose a good one. Sending you a cyber hug!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. I know that you can never prepare for the pain of a lost one - my father-in-law was ill for years & we knew that it was coming - but that's just not something that you can get ready for. Wishing you & your family God's healing in this difficult time.

A big thanks to everyone's condolences. I really appreciate the love and prayers. My grandma is where she has longed to be for months, and I can't wait to see her when I'm in the arms of Jesus too. :) -Shirley
