My Favourite Fall Fashion :: Boots

Before, boots have always seemed to be a winter foot covering, or rubber boots for rainy days, that's all. Boots were not that big a part of my wardrobe. But man, I wish now they would have a larger roll, because they're pretty awesome!

Cowboy boots are just so much fun, aren't they? And the picture just oozes "happy", doesn't it?

These boots look so comfy! I can't see them as being too practical, though. What happens if you accidentally step in a puddle? But I guess fashion isn't supposed to always be practical, should it?

Knee-high boots would be so much fun! I also love the colour of these boots.

And these boots just look so classic, it seems to be a must in every boot wardrobe.

My Favourite Fall Fashion :: Cardigans

I have lusted after this cardigan for two winters now. TWO!!! I love everything about it - the colour, the pattern, how cozy it looks, and HOW MUCH I WANT IT!!!

I like this cardigan because it looks like a trench coat - aren't those buttons awesome?

This light knitted cardigan would be great for those warmer autumn days.

I can totally see myself lounging around the house with this cardigan - the pockets are a plus!

I really love that pop of colour in this cardigan. There is also a tie that you can't see in this image, but that would be very helpful too, in case there is a gust of wind.

PS - Don't forget to link your shop or blog in this week's link-up, which you can find here.

My Favourite Fall Fashion :: Scarves

Scarves are definitely my favourite fashion accessory - it can add so much to your outfit!

I've got to say, I'm really loving mustard yellow as a fall colour! I think it's because it reminds me of the leaves turning this colour. I also love the chunky yarn, the knit pattern, and the awesome buttons!

I also love that you don't have to wear scarves only around your neck - this is a great way to keep that unruly hair out of your face and look great doing it!

I love stripes! This scarf also super huge - it's twice as long as in this picture - so versatile!

To be completely honest, I'm not a huge fan of these scarves - to me they look like super long shoe laces, all bunched together. But I know they're pretty popular, so I couldn't not show it. I do like the colour chosen for this scarf, and the length is pretty perfect.

What is your favourite scarf style?

My Favourite Fall Fashions :: Plaid

As I have said before, I'm not the most fashion savvy girl out there. But I definitely can appreciate fashion, and the risks that people take to create new looks and colour combinations. Today I want to share with you my newly discovered appreciation for plaid. Isn't plaid the perfect pattern for fall?

This dress is great - I would love to wear this to high tea... if I would ever attend high tea - which would be pretty cool, don't you think? dress up and drink tea with a bunch of girlfriends?

I really like the darker colours of this plaid - it would go really well with practically everything I own! lol

This coat just screams 'fun' to me - the bold red colour, the high collar, the belt loops...

I can totally see myself wearing this skirt to work. I would actually really love to wear this skirt to work. But... it's a vintage piece, and it requires less than 26" waist. And I haven't been size 26" waist since before I had children. *sigh* I know, that's my fault, but I digress...

Do you like plaid? How else would you like to wear it? maybe a hat or a purse?

My growing love of fashion. look out, hubster!

Everyone who knows me well will know that I have this "thing" for purses. I don't think I will ever tire of finding new designs and shapes and sizes and colours that I love. And Jeff, bless his dear heart, he is trying to hold me back. But I'm wilier than he is. lol

But now, I have started gaining a larger appreciation for shoes and how they can complement or complete an outfit. Now, I'm really not that adventurous of a dresser (example: right now, I'm wearing black dress pants, black socks, black shoes and a fuschia top). See? Sort of boring. And the rest of my clothes aren't much different.

But with reading all these fashion blogs, and sewing blogs, I'm gaining some interest in fashion, and more specifically, in refashioning clothes. My new favourite blog is cotton&curls. Lizzie's style is so awesome, and she's got SUCH awesome hair! The tutorials she writes up are really pretty easy-looking too! I just have to find the time to learn how to sew on my gramma's old sewing machine...

Anyways, here are a few of my favourites - ones that I would like to try - from cotton&curls.
And tell me you're not inspired!

What I Would Wear :: Fall Fashion Finds

I know I'm not that creative when it comes to fashion, but I really like the idea of pairing all of these together to make one killer fall outfit!

What I might wear if...

I found this awesome dress the other day.

{..source..}

However, I don't think I could ever wear it. You need a rocking body to pull this dress off, and don't get me wrong, I've got curves, just not in the right places. lol

These earrings would look awesome with that dress. I really love the beads!

And these Mary Janes are super cute. But these are a size 8, and I wear 7.5. So if I could get away with it, I would pair them with...

{..source..}

SHAZAAM!!! Super awesome socks. They're stripey and orange! You can't go wrong with that combination! lol
